Siemens Power Generation expands its product portfolio with the new, innovative 340+ MW gas turbine SGT5-8000H, featuring advanced H-class efficiency.

  • The world-class gas turbine combines the best features of the existing product lines and technology advancements. It will be the primary driver of the single-shaft SCC5-8000H combined cycle power plant, which will have an output of 530+ MW and an efficiency level exceeding 60%.

    Latest News

  • The completion of the SGT5-8000H 1st Fire in December 2007 and 1st Synchronization in March 2008 were successfully completed.
  • The testing program will continue with additional runs through May, with the next regular outage planned for completion in July of this year. The validation Program will continue with a series of planned tests and inspections where results are documented, analyzed, and deviations corrected in a controlled process. Improvements in part design will be installed and the unit subsequently tested in a commercial configuration.
