High flexibility thanks to flexible software
|
SPPA-P3000 solutions for enhancing flexibility
without modifying the hardware is enjoying growing
popularity especially in the liberalized markets.
MaxLoadPlus makes it possible e.g. to boost power
output to 110% on the basis of control actions
alone – as has been demonstrated in practice!
A profitable investment that pays off in next
to no time!
SPPA-P3000 solutions for high flexibility allow
optimum response to changing load demands. The
control concept together with extension of the
operating range of the subordinate controls
to cover higher maximum and lower minimum loads
lay the foundations for flexible and at the
same time stable operation.
Our Solutions:
SPPA-P3000 Fast Start: Fast startup
Minimizes startup time while ensuring that thermal
stresses on thick-walled components do not violate
permissible limits. Usually accompanied by a
significant reduction in fuel consumption.
SPPA-P3000 Fast Ramp: Fast load ramps
Coordinates steam generator and turbine, mobilizing
stored energy in the power plant process to
give precise and repeatable load changes.
SPPA-P3000 Minimum Load Reduction:
Reduction of mimimum load
Reduces the minimum load level at which a unit
can run and thus minimizes the financial losses
sustained in periods when the selling price
of power is lower than the generating cost.
This is particularly beneficial in the case
of oil- and gas-fired units which cannot be
shut down completely, e.g. because they have
to supply district heating systems.
SPPA-P3000 Maximum Load Plus: Increase
in maximum load level
Boosts electrical output to up to 110% of rated
capacity at unchanged main steam mass flow by
smooth and controlled full or partial deactivation
of the HP feedwater heaters without modifications
to the hardware. There are times when high power
prices on the spot market can make it highly
lucrative to operate the plant at above rated
output.
SPPA-P3000 Frequency Control: Primary
frequency control
Permits reliable and cost-effective provision
of primary frequency control and spinning reserve.
SPPA-P3000 Dispatch Control: Load
cycling and dispatcher control
Load cycling under dispatcher control to provide
secondary frequency control capability is becoming
a more and more lucrative service, but due to
the fast load ramps required it places very
high demands on the dynamic control response
of a power plant unit. DispatchControl permits
reliable and cost-effective provision of secondary
frequency control capability. |
