The Quidway AR46 router adopts a unique dual-bus architecture that consists of two independent PCI buses, high-performance PowerPC, and the IP Turbo EngineTM technology with intellectual property right, thus greatly improving system forwarding capabilities. The AR 46 router provides high- performance service; so its forwarding performance does not fall observably in processing various services.

End-to-end Reliability Guarantee

The Quidway AR46 router takes high reliability into consideration in networking applications. It enhances technologies of high-end routers and adopts redundancy design for key components, such as bus, power supply, heat dissipation system, and BootROM. In addition, it adopts dual power modules with redundancy (1 + 1 standby) and supports AC and DC input. Note that the bus here is not designed with redundancy.

In addition, the system provides query of system status and alarm information, and rich diagnosis test methods.

The Quidway AR46 router is integrated with multiple security features, such as packet filtering firewall, dynamic firewall, ISPKeeper DOS defense system, NAT, user authentication, security log, equipment security, VPN encryption, service isolation (VR).
