Quidway S2000TP-EA
Series Carrier-class Access Switches
Overview
Quidway S2000TP-EA carrier-class
series switches (hereinafter referred to as S2000TP-EA)
is a carrier-class Ethernet access switch launched
by Huawei to meet detailed operation requirements.
The S2000TP-EA series switches supports powerful
access control list (ACL) and is a real corridor
security intelligent access switch. The S2000TP-EA
series switches supports QinQ, service control
based on VLAN and multicast VLAN and can provide
users with rich and flexible service features.
The 2000TP-EA series switches is greatly improved
in terms of security, operability, manageability
and service scalability and is a new generation
of carrier-class corridor access product.
The 2000TP-EA seriescarrier-class access switches
consists of S2008TP-EA, S2016TP-EA, S2403TP-EA,
S2016TP-PWR-EA and S2403TP-PWR-EA.

S2008TP-EA: 8 10/100Base-TX
Ethernet ports, 1 100/1000BASE-X SFP or 1 10/100/1000BASE-TX
interface, supporting 220 V AC power or -48 V
DC power.
S2016TP-EA: 16 10/100Base-TX

interfaces, supporting 220 V AC power or -48 V
DC power.
S2016TP-PWR-EA: 16 10/100Base-TX
Ethernet ports with the power over Ethernet (PoE)
function, 2 100/1000BASE-X SFP or 2 10/100/1000BASE-TX
interfaces, supporting 220 V AC power.
S2403TP-EA: 24 10/100Base-TX
Ethernet ports, 2 100/1000BASE-X SFP or 2 10/100/1000BASE-TX
interfaces, supporting 220 V AC power or -48 V
DC power.
S2403TP-PWR-EA: 24 10/100Base-TX
Ethernet ports with the power over Ethernet (PoE)
function, 2 100/1000BASE-X SFP or 2 10/100/1000BASE-TX
interfaces, supporting 220 V AC power or -48 V
DC power.
Features
Service control based on VLAN
The S2000TP-EA series switches supports rate
control for traffic. It can provide different
bandwidth assurance for different services and
different users. As a result, it can control the
bandwidth occupied by the traffic more accurately,
thus meeting detailed operation requirements of
network. The S2000TP-EA series switches supports
delivery of ACL rules based on VLAN. It can deliver
ACL rules according to different services and
users and ensures the security of services and
users with higher priority. The S2000TP-EA series
switches also supports traffic measurement based
on VLAN. It can measure the bandwidth used by
each service or each user, thus facilitating operators
to charge by traffic.
The S2000TP-EA series switches supports QinQ
and can encapsulate the VLAN tag of a private
network into the VLAN tag of a public network
so that messages can traverse operator’s backbone
network with two layers of VLAN Tag.
Complete security intelligent control
policies
The S2000TP-EA series switches supports the ACL
based on source MAC address, destination MAC address,
source IP address, destination IP address, layer-4
port, protocol type, VLAN, Ethernet frame protocol
and class of service (CoS). It can filter messages
according to features of users and provide end-to-end
protection against virus and hackers’ attacks.
The S2000TP-EA series switches supports binding
of IP address, MAC address, VLAN and port and
can create binding rules to prevent invalid intrusion
according to DHCP Snooping.
The S2000TP-EA series switches supports rate
control for ports (the rate control granularity
can be up to 64kbps) to prevent malicious occupation
of network bandwidth.
The S2000TP-EA series switches supports suppression
of broadcast storm and MAC black hole, isolation
from or interworking with ports in the VLAN, and
the HWTACACS function, which fully ensures the
security of operators’ networks.
Powerful service capability
The S2000TP-EA series switches supports rich
layer-2 multicast protocols such as IGMP Snoopingv1&v2&v3
and IGMP Snooping Filter/Fast-Leave. It also supports
multicast VLAN and can serve as the corridor multicast
replication point and control point.
The S2000TP-EA series switches supports IPv6
management features and facilitates transition
from the IPv4 network to IPv6 network.
The S2000TP-EA series switches supports DHCP
Snooping, DHCP Option82, and DHCP Snooping Trust
and can meet operation requirements of the IPTV
service.
S2000TP-PWR-EA supports PoE. S016TP-PWR-EA can
deliver the necessary power to support 8 ports
at 15.4W, 16 ports at 7.7W. S2403TP-PWR-EA can
support 24 simultaneous full-powered PoE ports
at 15.4W for maximum powered-device support. It
can remotely supply power for the equipment connected
with it over the Ethernet, thus solving the problem
of power supply for terminal equipment.
The S2000TP-EA series switches supports bi-directional
module over a single optical fiber and can realize
bi-directional transmission over a single optical
fiber, thus solving shortage of optical resources.
Management and maintenance
The S2000TP-EA series switches supports HWPING.
It can check whether the DHCP, HTTP and SNMP services
are available and the service response time and
detect the delay and jitter of networks so that
operators can master the current situation of
networks.
The S2000TP-EA series switches supports RSPAN
remote port mirroring, which breaks through the
restriction of simultaneous setting for traditional
mirror port and source mirror port. It supports
the virtual cable test (VCT) and can report link
failure within 5 seconds. It also supports DLDP
unidirectional link detection and can automatically
detect the fault of unidirectional communication.
The S2000TP-EA series switches supports the 1:1
or N:1 mirroring and can monitor network traffic
in multiple points for users.
The S2000TP-EA series switches supports SNMP
V1/V2/V3 and configuration and management for
the iManager? network management system (NMS).
It also supports the command line interface (CLI),
Telnet, and HGMP cluster management, thus facilitating
equipment maintenance. |
